Body Waxing

This is a method of semi-permanent hair removal, as itremoves hair from the hair folicle.

Area's Not To Wax:

• Irritated, inflamed, cut or bruised skin


• Sun damaged skin.


• Anywhere that has warts, pimples, cold sores or moles.

You must refrain from Waxing if:

• You are using Retin- A: currently or within the last 3 months,


• You take Accutane: currently or within the last 6 months


• You use other keratolitic medications (that increase skin exfoliation)


• Your skin is sunburned.


• You have recently undergone a laser peel.


• You have Diabetes, Phlebitis, Lupus or Aids.


• You recently got Botox or Collagen injections.


• You're in cancer therapy getting chemotherapy or radiation.


• You have varicose veins (on your legs)


• If you have been in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.


• If you have used a tanning bed within the last 24 hours.

You should be cautious:

• Persons with Rosacea or smokers: Waxing can irritate dilated capillaries (weak or broken blood vessels) which are common to this group of people. If the capillaries are very red, avoid waxing that area.


• If you are pregnant, taking birth control, hormone replacement or antibiotics, you skin will be more sensitive to wax


• You use strong exfoliators on your skin. Alpha-hydroxy acid, Salicylic acid or enzymes all strip cells from the skin. Waxing may cause the skin to turn red, bleed or become scabby. Do not use these products on the area to be waxed for three days before and three days after the waxing.


• You recently drank alcohol or a lot of caffeine. These stimulants may cause the skin to be more sensitive, allow a few hours to pass after consuming coffee or alcohol.
